Massey Horticulture Society hosted 80 people in Palmerston North on March 8th (International Women’s Day) for the Shaping our Growing Sector event. The audience of growers, academics, students, researchers, business and industry reps, and teachers heard from the panel of similarly diverse speakers. Together the room reflected on the year that had been and the opportunities ahead to ensure diversity at all levels of the industry.
The panel included Brittany McCloy – Onions NZ, Jocelyn Eason – Plant and Food Research, Erin Simpson – NZAPI, Chrissy Stokes – Zespri, and Emma Clarke – Woodhaven Gardens (pictured). 80 viewers also joined on a Facebook Livestream.
